I should probably update this thing.

Anyone out there? Probably not because I never actually do anything with this blog. BUT I'm going to try and make an effort from now on to actually post updates — no matter how meaningless they may be.

So what's new? Well, the Voodoo Vandals have been getting out there. We recently opened for Switch, Dada Life, and some others. Upcoming we have a show with Dada Life again, LMFAO, and possibly Bird Peterson.

Voodoo has been hard at work in the studio, trying to crunch out some beats for a spring release and I recently purchased a Native Instruments Maschine to start making some of my own! I'm still not quit sure what I want to do with it as Voodoo pretty much has the house, dubstep, 4x4 thing on lock. Maybe something a little more experimental? Maybe some polyrythmic stuff?

I'll definitely make sure to keep everyone posted! Until then visit www.deadbeatdigital.com and follow me on twitter!

Ciao for now.

Who, what, where, when, and why.

Who
I've gone by a few names: anyone in Vancouver many years ago might me as "optics", anyone that read Unlogik in Japan may know me as "Kazuma", and anyone who knows me in person — well you already know my name right.

What
Communication Designer by day, Japanese television (not cartoons, mostly comedy) geek by night, one half of a DJ team that snaps necks and gets people moving anytime we get called out.

Where
I moved back to Vancouver from Tokyo, Japan about a year ago.

When
I'll be sure to post here when the Voodoo Vandals are playing. You can put money down on that.

Why
Music has and while always be my love in life. Design is just a little ahead of it, but to be completely honest — they kind of go hand-in-hand.

The blog is open

It's officially open! I will be tweaking some design elements, but for now it's up and functional.

I'll do an introduction post in a little bit explaining what all this "vandal" business is about.

Until next time folks!
